Position: HSE OFFICER

Reporting To: HSSE Coach

No of position: 01 only (IMMEDIATELY)

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Diploma in Engineering with valid IOSH & NEBOSH certificate
  • At least 5 years’ experience in safety and environment activities in Oil & gas industry.
  • Have good interpersonal skills; integrity and honesty
  • Ability to organize a communication and meeting with client/ contractor.
  • Ability to prepare JSA
  • Fluent English skills
  • Well organized and proactive with excellent communication skills
  • Maturity of judgement under pressure and ability to resolve problems.
  • Strategic thinking, open to new ideas
  • Strategic management skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to contract requirement
  • Advises Management on safety compliance concern and preventative actions.
  • Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
  • Assist, set up and conduct training, monthly HSE meeting, ensure the safety, training and development of all staff and subcontractors to understand identify and reduce risks in a fast paced environment.
  • Performs safety surveys and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures where indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
  • Assists in the development, evaluation and upgrading of safety programs.
  • Raise awareness of potential hazards that exist on a jobsite by reviewing what can be done to minimize risk
  • Identify poor safety performing acts by reviewing past performance and work with site manager and project director to establish a plan to improve
  • Raise awareness of potential hazards that exist in the new project what can be done to minimize/prevent them
  • Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
  • Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
  • Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

  • Minimum Diploma in HSE with valid IOSH and NEBOSH certificate.
